Why do we even look for the best cholesterol supplements?

Clearly, for people at high risk of heart disease the benefit of cholesterol drugs is indisputable (so do not take chances if your condition is serious). In Asia, medicinal mushrooms have been used for centuries, while in the West the research has only been “catching up” in recent decades. The science now backs the traditional Eastern use, confirming impressive benefits for the human body.

We rarely stop to think about it, but medicinal mushrooms keep turning out to hold answers to the problems — the diseases — that bear down on humanity.

In some highly developed countries, such as Japan, medicinal mushrooms have for more than 30 years been approved as a standard part of cancer treatment. Mushroom-derived compounds (such as lentinan) have long been used safely and deservedly alongside chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
